EASY = SIMPLICITY

A website should be "easy".

Easy to use, easy to navigate, easy to maintain, and most importantly, the information on a website should be easy to find and easy to read.

CREATIVITY = SIMPLICITY

A website should be a "work of art" and grab the attention of the visitor in hopes of them staying to explore your website.  Fonts should be easy to read, and the colors used on a website should complement each other.  If the design permits, use light, textured backgrounds to make the website more dimensional.  The main or home page should make a great first impression....being simple and convey to your visitor the core of what your website is all about. The goal is to make people want to explore and learn from your website, not make them run to the medicine cabinet in search of some Tylenol.

PERFORMANCE = SIMPLICITY

Every page on a website should download to a person's computer as if a dial-up connection is being used.

Dial-up, are you crazy!  Yes (we are), but maybe in 10 years we won't have to worry about this, but we do now (please, especially for my Mom!).  All graphics should be optimized for a website.  This saves on download time and on bandwidth (which saves you money!)

FUN = SIMPLICITY

Now that all the technical "design principals" are out of the way, it is our hope that in the end and throughout the process of designing your website, you have fun doing it!
